Hello, Spring!
Spring has sprung! hehe and I am so happy to officially say that! The weather in Nashville has been 10/10 and it’s *chef’s kiss.* With warmer weather, spring break, and summer approaching, so many of us are itching to go on a vacation to see the sun!
It was the perfect weather and so fun to celebrate my lifelong friend, Lexi. (& honestly the girl who makes my work look so good on her long blonde barbie hair lol) Her wedding is in a few short weeks and I’m so excited for her! It’s a garden party wedding and it’s going to be absolutely STUNNING!
In full transparency, hair health has been a journey for me this past year. As many of you know. I’ve dyed it copper red, then I chopped it, chopped again, dyed it again, & then dyed it some more! (The struggle was real to get the red completely stripped from my hair) There’s been a few *new* products I’ve been loving and I’d love to share with you if you’re in a similar spot or just want to give your hair a little extra love, because why not? Also, stay tune for an important hair tip that not many people know about but has saved me so much $ on dry shampoo!
PRODUCTS —
The Amika Soul Food Hydration Mask has been a game changer in my hairs life. I use this mostly when I’m doing an *everything* shower (iykyk) and I let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. I use it about once per week! Highly highly recommend.
The Bamboo Bristle Brush stimulates your scalp when brushing which helps produce hair growth and distributes natural oils into hair. The key here: your natural oils are the best treatment for your hair — so use them to your advantage!
I wash my hair with the Redken Extreme Length Shampoo 1-2x per week. This is my literal holy grail product — I believe it’s the best growth product on the market. It helps strengthen your hair and produce new growth like I’ve never seen (hellooooo baby hairs). I have suggested this to many clients and I’ve never heard a negative review back.
HAIR TIP —
I wash my hair TWICE in the shower - which is the norm in the hair world but I feel like a lot of people don’t know that tip. Let me paint a picture for you: the first wash removes build up and residue from any product/grease. The second wash goes in and cleanses the scalp and the hair strands to its core. You will find that washing this way your hair will last longer in between washes! I highly suggest you trying this out and let me know if you feel/see a difference!
I have some ideas up my sleeve that I’m working on as far as my blog goes — I like to keep a mix of hair + fashion + real life! Let me know here at our next appointment what you would like to see over here on my little corner of the internet :)
